Honeywell Instant Alert Plus: a
web-based emergency communication service. Within minutes of an
emergency, officials and first responders can quickly assemble for a
conference call briefing, make decisions, and send an alert to staff,
community residents, or other groups. Instant Alert Plus is a unique
two-way communication system. In an emergency, almost instantaneously,
customized messages are sent to multiple recipients through multiple
communication devices, such as phone, e-mail, and/or pager, so the
message is received.
A severe thunder-storm or
tornado is approaching, or a train derailment occurs, no-travel advisories
are issued, a missing child has just been reported, a terrorist
attack, biological threat or a natural disaster, etc.
People subscribed to this service will be
notified immediately as the announcement is made and be up to date on any
incidents and potential dangers that may be affecting them. The signal
goes out to all listed forms of contact for the subscriber and may
include up to 10 different forms; cell phones,
e-mails, regular phones, pagers, faxes, etc. This procedure will still supplement
announcements already being made on the television or radio.
Its simply the
quickest and most effective way to reach the most people in the shortest
amount of time using as many efficient ways possible.
The procedure to sign up for the service
is very simple and can be done via any internet connection by going to this
