Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

                                                                        January 6, 2009

 

The regular and annual meeting of the City Council was called to order in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building at 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 6, 2009, all members of the Council having been duly notified of the meeting and the business to be transacted.

 

Present:           Mayor Larry G. Buboltz; Mayor-Elect Matt Brenk; City Attorney William Briggs; Assistant City Administrator Lynne Krieger; Finance Officer Louis Guzek; Community Development Director Larry Remmen; City Engineer Gary Nansen and Public Works Director Bradley Green.

 

                                    Aldermen:       Anderson, Aune, Marks Erickson, Heltemes, Imholte, Sukke, Tollefson, Tucker and Zeman.

                       

Absent:            City Administrator Robert Louiseau; Public Utilities Superintendent Curt Punt; Police Chief Kelvin Keena; Building Official Calvin Mayfield; Liquor Store Manager Bradley MacMaster and Fire Chief Jeffrey Swanson.

 

Mayor Buboltz administered the Oath of Office to Mayor-Elect Matt Brenk and  Assistant City Administrator Lynne Krieger administered the oath of office to Aldermen:  Jamie Marks Erickson, Bruce Imholte, James Anderson and Ron Zeman who were elected to their prospective offices at the City Election. Madalyn Sukke, who was appointed by the Council to the Alderman-at-Large position at the December 18, 2008, Special City Council Meeting, was also administered the oath of office.

 

Mayor Brenk then adjourned the City Council Meeting and advised that the regular business of the City Council will be presented at the January 13, 2009, City Council Meeting at 5:00 P.M.

                                                 

There being no further business to conduct, by general consent, Mayor Brenk adjourned the meeting.
