DETROIT LAKES DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

MEMBERS PRESENT:     Dixie Johnson, Matt Brenk, Tim Olson, Greg Hildenbrand, Mark                                   Hagen   

                               

MEMBERS ABSENT:      Jim Anderson and Tom Klyve

 

OTHERS PRESENT:       Larry Remmen, Nancy Wichmann, Richard Grabow, Jim Hannon,

I.       Call To Order:

          Chairman Dixie Johnson called the meeting of the Detroit Lakes Development Authority to order at 4:30 PM in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building, 1025 Roosevelt Avenue on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. All members of the Authority having been duly notified of the meeting and the business to be transacted.

 

II.     Minutes:

        A motion was made by Commissioner Matt Brenk, seconded by Commissioner Tim Olson and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of the regular  meeting held August 30th 2005 as presented.

 

III.    Financials:

A.      None

 

IV.    Old Business:

A.      Update On Lefebvre Property

        Larry Remmen reported that Don Lefebvre originally was asking $40,000 for the 31acres of land near Willow Springs, which abuts the Ray J. Anderson property.   Larry Remmen and Don Lefebvre discussed the sale of the property to the Development Authority and Lefebvre is willing to sell the property for $30,000.   Larry Remmen reported the County Assessor felt that $30,000 was a fair price for this property.  The Authority agreed to invite the CDC Committee to the next         Development Authority meeting, to receive their input on the potential purchase of this property.

A.      Consideration to a Business Review Publication (Dennis Winskowski)

        There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting was         adjourned.
