Special Meeting Of the Detroit Lakes Development Authority

Members Present:        Jim Anderson, Tom Klyve, Mark Hagen, Mary Beth Gilsdorf, Dennis Winskowski, Larry Remmen, Bob Louiseau, Cory Scott, RDG, Marty Shukert, RDG, Larry Buboltz,

                                   Cleone Stewart, Amy Stearns, Dixie Johnson, Ron Zeman, James Hannon, Brad Green, Lou Guzek, Lynne Krieger and Brad Wentz

  I.           Call To Order

                President Jim Anderson called the meeting of the Detroit Lakes Development Authority to order and noted that the Authority was meeting as the Business Corridor Study Steering Committee

 II.           Presentation by RDG Consultants on the Business Corridor Study

                Marty Shukert and Cory Scott of RDG presented a preview of the public presentation of the Business Corridor Study

                The Study covered the following study areas:

·         The Crescent

·         Health Care District

·         Downtown

·         Civic District

·         North Washington Avenue

·         South Washington Avenue

·         The Lake District

They discussed presenting cost information and possible timing of the development at the public meeting and it was agreed that this information should be presented at that time.

The presentation lasts 60 to 90 minutes and there should be time for people to look at drawings and information.  There will be a public meeting sometime in September.  The City asked RDG to also do a presentation at 7:30 AM as part of a Chamber Mini-Summit.

The Public Meeting is tentatively scheduled for September 8^th and the Mini-Summit for September 9th.

RDG will make another presentation to the Development Authority on August 14^th at 7:30 AM.

                There was no further discussion and the meeting was adjourned.
